ORTHOPEDIC ACUPUNCTURE COURSES A Musculoskeletal Acupuncture approach to Pain,
Dysfunction and Soft Tissue Injury
Successful treatment of orthopedic problems requires the examination and treatment of the postural, structural and lifestyle factors that contribute to and cause injury; it is not sufficient to treat the injury using "Root" organ pattern diagnosis alone. These courses combine orthopedic assessment with classical meridian theory to impact common soft tissue problems related to meridian dysfunction, postural compensations, muscular and structural imbalances, trauma and chronic stress. Each course includes: anatomy, normal range of motion and biomechanics of the particular joint complex, musculoskeletal evaluation and referred pain patterns to and from the joint. Using traditional acupuncture points, motor points, trigger points and Huato points, the practitioner will learn to incorporate this information into an effective acupuncture protocol that impacts both meridian imbalances and structural mechanics.
